The latest and greatest version of Windows Live Essentials 2011 is 15.4.3538.0513 and same for all apps. It includes the popular programs Windows Live Messenger, Photo Gallery, Mail, Movie Maker, Writer, Mesh, Family Safety, and Sync, plus Bing Bar and Messenger Companion. You also get Microsoft Office Outlook Connector Pack and Microsoft Silverlight.
To install Windows Live Essentials 2011, your PC must be running on either Windows 7 or Windows Vista (see the system requirements here). This release doesn’t support Windows XP, so if your computer is still running Windows XP, you have to continue the current Windows Live Essentials software.
Windows Live Essentials is available in 48 languages. And it is being served as web installer that requires internet connection to download bootstrapper. And for few folks, it could be a trouble to get it on low-bandwidth connection or install Essentials 2011 without internet connection. But as earlier an offline installer is also available weighting 204MB.
